THE LATEST DUO NEWS!

On June 12 we played our first gig at Logan's newest (and best) upscale restaurant: BLACKSTONE. It was a big success, and lots of fun to see so many friends and acquaintances. We will be there every Thursday evening from June 12 through September 4, except for July 24. Chef Scott Northridge has prepared an excellent menu of steak, seafood and pasta. The music will be on the outdoor patio. This will be a wonderful way to spend a calm summer evening: great food and great music! The address is 255 South Main Street in Logan. Several concerts are booked for summer/fall. We will be playing the opening concert of the Noon at the Tabernacle series in downtown Logan. This will be on June 2 at the tabernacle, and is a free concert.

On June 29, we will be doing an outdoor "Concert in the Park" in Smithfield's downtown park. The concert begins at 7:00 p.m., and is free.

On July 9, the USU Music Department is presenting a Lightwood Duo concert in the new performance hall on the USU campus as part of the Midsummer Night's Magic concert series. Each of these local concerts will be a completely new and unique program.

We look forward to seeing our many summer friends at these concerts, as well as at BLACKSTONE on Thursday evenings.

We'll be in Eureka, Nevada November 7, 2008 for a return engagement at the opera house there. We'll also be doing a concert for the elementary school that afternoon. Other concerts are in the works, and will be posted here as they confirm.

We now have a DVD of a concert performance. This was filmed and edited by Rhett and Burke Lewis of Studio 1 Pictures. The performance was shot at the new Performance Hall at USU.
